VdA is partnering with APDC to promote a new session of Digital Union, dedicated to the challenges of cybersecurity in the European Union, on 30 September.
Cybersecurity is now at the heart of the European and national agenda. The transposition of NIS2 brings with it new risk management and incident reporting duties for a wide range of organisations, extending the scope of responsibilities. The Cyber Resilience Act introduces the security by design requirement for all digital products on the European market. The certification of critical services, such as cloud and 5G, takes on a central role in digital trust. DORA imposes strict rules on the financial sector in terms of technological risk control. And the Cyber Solidarity Act paves the way for new cooperation initiatives and coordinated incident response at European level.
VdA will be represented by Tiago Bessa, who will host the welcome session and moderate the debate, and by Inês Antas de Barros, who will present ‘Cybersecurity: Regulation and Strategy’.
