VdA, VdA Academia and ELSA U.Lisboa organised the 1st edition of the Summer ELSA Law School - Law and the Technological Era, in partnership with the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

This 1st edition of the Summer ELSA Law School took place from 20 to 27 July in Lisbon and was aimed at 30 law students from various European faculties, with the participation of Magda Cocco, Muriel Faden da Silva, Helena Correia Mendonça, Iakovina Kindylidi, Madalena Gomes Cruz and Pedro da Palma Gonçalves.

On 22 and 23 July, the inaugural session and the other sessions took place at the António de Magalhães Cardoso Auditorium in VdA's Lisbon office, and on the following days at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

The Summer ELSA Law School aims, among other things, to raise awareness of the intersection between law and technology and how technology is transforming the legal field, to develop practical skills for tackling digital legal challenges and to analyse emerging legal issues such as data privacy and artificial intelligence.
