Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida Award,
launched during the 2 years celebration of existance of the VVA Foundation.
The award was launched by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation in partnership with the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, with the purpose of honoring the memory of the remarcable life of Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida, a notable citizen and unforgetable professor of the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, that marked the intelectual life of that institute.
With the purpose of promoting new values and cientific work in diverse humanity area investigations, with a biannual event, graudates, masters, doctor or investigator of post-doctors in the Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, may candidate themselves. The best work will get an award in value of € 20.000,00 (with a budget of € 5.000,00 for publishing), after being evaluated by a jury composed by Professor Doutor Miguel Tamen (Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa Director), by Professor Doutor José Pedro Serra (Library of Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa Director) and Professor Doutor António Feijó (Vice-Rector of the Universidade de Lisboa).
The award will be launched today, at the end of the day, with the presence of Vasco Vieira de Almeida, founding partner of Vieira de Almeida, and Margarida Couto, Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation CEO, in VdA's auditorium in lisbon.
