Catarina Pinto Correia, within the scope of the BIOCHAINS Atlantic project, led a session at the Convergence Workshop on Algae Ecosystems in Portugal, an initiative that brought together experts and stakeholders from the sector to discuss topics such as production and technology, go-to-market strategies, regulatory frameworks, and environmental sustainability. As co-head of the Environment & Climate practice, she delivered a session on the Blue Carbon Market and the sustainable valorisation of algae, addressing the applicable regulatory framework and the potential of these solutions in the context of the climate transition and the blue economy.

The workshop took place at the Leixões Cruise Terminal, in Matosinhos, on 21 April 2026.
