Frederico Gonçalves Pereira

Frederico Gonçalves Pereira joined VdA in 1995. He is Dispute Resolution Group Executive Partner and Litigation & Arbitration Partner.

Responsible for creating VdA’s Litigation & Arbitration department, Frederico Gonçalves Pereira has vast experience of over thirty years in civil and commercial litigation and pre-litigation, as well as corporate restructurings and insolvencies, often leading high profile complex arbitration proceedings, in Portugal as in all VdA Legal Partners’ jurisdictions – across Lusophone and Francophone Africa and East-Timor.

Masters Degree in Civil Law, University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law.

Admitted to the preparation of a Ph.D. thesis in Corporate Law, University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law.

Lecturer at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law from 1990 to 2005 (Introduction to the Study of Law, Commercial Law and Labour Law).
