Maria Cunha Matos

Maria Cunha Matos joined VdA in 2017. She is a Partner in Corporate and M&A and Family Business practices.

Maria has considerable experience advising on cross-border private M&A transactions as well as on corporate law matters, including joint ventures, reorganizations and carve-outs, with a particular focus on the Telecommunications, Infrastructure and Technology sectors, for international strategic clients and private equity funds.

Law degree, University Lisbon Faculty of Law.

Post-graduation in Tax Management, Overgest/ISCTE.

QLTT (Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test), The College of Law.

Women’s Leadership Programme, Cranfield School of Management.

Prior to joining VdA, Maria was based in São Paulo, Brazil in the Linklaters M&A practice, providing legal advice to international clients, focused on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures in various sectors, and international capital markets transactions.

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association, to the Law Society of England and Wales, as a solicitor, and to the Brazilian Bar Association, as a foreign legal consultant.
