Cláudia Coutinho da Costa joined VdA in 2011. Managing Associate of the Competition & EU practice. She has worked actively in various operations in various sectors, including the energy, civil aviation, retail and insurance sectors.

Law Degree, University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law.

Maîtrise in International Law, Université de Cergy-Pontoise (Sócrates /Erasmus).

Post-graduation in European Studies, University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law.

MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies, College of Europe.

Summer Course in EU Law, King's College London.

Before joining the firm worked as an associate at Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva & Associados (2005-2010). She has also worked as advisor to the Minister of Culture of the XVIII Constitutional Government (2011), and made an internship in European General Court, with Judge Maria Eugénia Martins Ribeiro (2008).

Author of articles in journals of the specialty, namely with regular contributions to the ECLR – European Competition Law Review.

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association.

Member of the Portuguese Association of European Law (APDE).

Member of the Association of Portuguese Competition Lawyers (CAPDC).
