Beatriz Assunção Ribeiro joined VdA in 2022. She is an Associate at the  Information, Communication & Technology area of practice.

Masters in Cognitive Science , University of Lisbon.

Currently attending post-graduation in Intellectual Property, APDI.

Before joining the firm, she worked as an associate at CTSU – A Deloitte Legal Practice where she worked with all types of cutting-edge technology, intellectual property, privacy and data protection matters, and other areas such as e-mobility and e-commerce.

Prior to CTSU – A Deloitte Legal Practice, she worked as a trainee lawyer at PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda and Associados, dealing with both litigation and consulting regarding intellectual property, technology, regulation and advertising.

Author of various books and articles namely:

  • The Privacy, Data Protection and Cybersecurity Law Review – Portugal chapter (2021).
  • Intellectual Properties of Artificial Creativity: Dismantling Originality in European’s Legal Framework (2020).
