VdA is shortlisted for ‘Portugal Law Firm of the Year’ at the IFLR Europe Awards 2025, making it the Portuguese firm with the most nominations in this edition.
It is also nominated in the ‘Net-Zero Transition Firm’ category, which recognises firms with innovative initiatives in sustainability, biodiversity, decarbonisation and sustainable finance - and is the only Portuguese firm in this category.
In the ‘Deal of the Year’ category, VdA is nominated for ‘Debt and Equity-Linked Deal of the Year’ and ‘Structured Finance and Securitisation Deal of the Year’.
In addition, Paula Gomes Freire is shortlisted in the individual category ‘IFLR Women Dealmakers Hall of Fame’, being the only Portuguese lawyer nominated.
The IFLR (International Financial Law Review) nominates the firms that have stood out the most in the previous year, with special emphasis on the most distinguished cross-border operations and the firms that have fostered innovation in the sector.
The awards ceremony will take place on 3 April in London.
