Magda Cocco, Madalena Gomes Cruz and Martim Farinha, Knowledge Lawyer, are the authors of the article "The new 'Right to Repair' Directive and its implications", published by Lexology.

The article analyses the implications of the European Union's directive - "Right to Repair", published on 10 June - which aims to promote the repair of consumer goods, reducing waste and strengthening the secondary repair market. Among the main obligations imposed on sellers and manufacturers, the authors highlight the extension of the liability period (the ‘legal guarantee’) with the repair of goods, the obligation to provide information online about spare parts, the provision of repair services, the prohibition on the use of clauses that prevent repair and the creation of an online platform that aims to facilitate the search for repair services.
