Joaquim Pedro Lampreia (Partner) is quoted in an ECO article on the discussion over the illicitly obtained income paying Personal Income Tax (IRS).

The lawyer states: "there is no doubt that income, even from illegal sources, should be subject to taxation. There are two options: either they are included in category G on the IRS declaration or they are considered taxable under stamp duty. These two ways allow the taxpayer to tax an income without having to explain it, at least upfront, to the tax authorities."
