The VdA lawyers introduce the topic, clarifying that “Portugal continues to grow as an attractive jurisdiction in which to be based in the eyes of high net worth individuals, continuing a trend that has started to develop in recent years, despite recent changes in tax policy and challenges arising from the restructuring of the Portuguese immigration authorities that hinder the conclusion of immigration procedures and may affect potentially interested high net worth individuals”.
