João de Araújo Ferraz published an article for the PTSoc - Centro de Operações de Segurança do .PT, an organisation that aims to promote cybersecurity and protect information, devices and digital resources.
The article, entitled ‘NIS2: to whom it applies to and what's next for the companies covered’, highlights the important changes introduced by the new Cybersecurity Legal Regime, which resulted from the transposition of the NIS 2 Directive. Among the main changes, João de Araújo Ferraz explains that there is now a wider scope of application, which includes new sectors, and greater accountability for organisations' management bodies.
Under this new regime, organisations must adopt strict cybersecurity risk management measures, including appointing a specific person responsible for this area. These new requirements aim to strengthen cyber security and ensure greater protection of digital infrastructures.
