"In July 2020, the so-called Taxonomy Regulation, which defines which economic activities can be considered sustainable and imposes on companies new forms of "ESG reporting" (Enviromental, Social and Governance) from 2022 onwards, came into force rather unnoticed - or were the world's eyes not focused on the pandemic crisis that had just broken out.

Almost a year and a half later, the world has changed and, in a movement that appears to many as somewhat paradoxical, that same pandemic crisis has contributed to make sustainability issues much more central to the concerns of companies".
