Margarida Couto

Margarida Couto joined VdA in 1988. She is IP & Digital Group Senior Partner and Partner of the Information, Communication & Technology practice, she has been providing regulatory advice to a wide variety of clients in matters involving Media, Data Privacy and Telecommunications law.

She has also been involved in several infrastructure projects and public procurement transactions both in regulated and in non-regulated sectors.

She is the firm's partner responsible for the Pro Bono, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and chairs the Pro Bono Committee.

Margarida Couto is also CEO of the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation.

Law Degree, Catholic University of Lisbon Faculty of Law.

Post-graduation in European Studies at the Catholic University of Lisbon Faculty of Law.

Visiting teacher of Telecommunications and Regulation at the Catholic University of Lisbon.

Visiting teacher of Telecommunications and Regulation Class in the LLM in Public Law of the Lisbon School of Administration.

Author of several articles related to regulation and electronic communications published in national and international specialized publications.

She has participated as speaker in several national and international conferences and seminars related to her area of practice.

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association.
