Margarida Couto joined VdA in 1988. Partner of the Information, Communication & Technology practice, she has been providing regulatory advice to a wide variety of clients in matters involving Media, Data Privacy and Telecommunications law. Margarida was Head of the Social Economy & Human Rights practice until 2023.
She has also been involved in several infrastructure projects and public procurement transactions both in regulated and in non-regulated sectors.
She is the firm's partner responsible for the Pro Bono, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and chairs the Pro Bono Committee.
Margarida Couto is also CEO of the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation.
