Joaquim Pedro Lampreia is quoted in an article published by Jornal de Negócios on the process of taxation of real estate capital gains by non-residents which, since January, is equal to that of residents.
The lawyer states that "it will be complicated for the non-resident to fill out an IRS declaration where they will have to frame under national law income obtained in any other country in the world".
