Helena Manoel Viana (Associate) co- writes an opinion article with Catarina Balisa from SHL, for Human Magazine, on the issue of discrimination in recruitment procedures.

"If the recruitment criteria are based on a justifiable and determining requirement for the exercise of the professional activity, due to the nature of the activity in question, or the context in which it is carried out, this does not constitute discrimination. Thus, the recruitment and selection of candidates with greater fit to the function and culture, by means of criteria defined a priori, duly documented and based on the analysis of the function to be recruited, is not considered discriminatory."
