VdA is taking part in the VIII Intensive Course on Investment Funds, organised by the Private Law Research Centre of the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon.

This initiative brings together specialists and professionals from the sector to discuss key topics related to collective investment undertakings and asset management.

In this edition, VdA is represented by several lawyers who are part of the course faculty, addressing different dimensions of the legal and operational framework of investment funds. Hugo Moredo Santos (Partner) and Carlos Couto (Managing Associate) will discuss ‘Collective Investment Undertakings and Bond Issuance’, while Inês Antas de Barros (Partner) and David Paula (Managing Associate) will lecture on ‘The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and its Impact on Asset Management’. Ana Perestrelo de Oliveira (Of Counsel) presents the general concepts of venture capital within the context of Venture Capital Collective Investment Undertakings, and Orlando Vogler Guiné (Of Counsel) and Joana Silva Leal (Managing Associate) analyse the practical aspects to consider when investing through these undertakings.

Carlos Couto also delivers a session dedicated to Management Companies, addressing their typology, size, internal organisation and permitted activities, while Chen Chen (Associate) explores the Typology of Collective Investment Undertakings – from Incorporation to Subscription and Redemption, as well as Collective Investment Companies.
