The Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) is organizing an event, sponsored by Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA), to take stock of the current state and future strategies of the oil and gas industry in the Lusophone region, under the title

“The Lusophone strategy for surviving and thriving in the era of low oil prices”

The event will feature as speakers some of the leading executives and specialists driving the oil and gas industry in Angola, Mozambique, Brazil and Portugal.

The drastic slide of oil prices is posing unprecedented challenges to oil companies and governments around the world. New strategies are being devised so that industry players can survive and if possible thrive in the current environment. Yet, opportunities are still there for those who are resilient and bold enough to invest in times of hardship. This is true for many regions of the world, including in the abovementioned Lusophone countries.

The AIPN is the leading professional membership association that supports international energy negotiators around the world. It is currently composed of more than 4500 members in more than 110 countries.

The event will take place on May 20th 2016, at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon and it is complimentary for AIPN members and non-members.
