Vanda Cascão recently took part in the podcast SobreTudo, an ACA Group initiative dedicated to innovation and sustainability. During this episode, she addressed the interconnection between water and energy and stressed the importance of analysing this relationship taking into account the specific characteristics of each country's infrastructure.

According to the VdA lawyer, it is essential to adopt a local perspective in order to understand and approach the relationship between water and energy in an integrated way. In her opinion, this approach is crucial to the successful development and financing of international projects.

Vanda Cascão also emphasised that in order to enable these projects, it is ‘absolutely crucial’ to carry out a ‘complete diagnosis of all the necessary infrastructures’. Factors such as ‘information, knowledge and international cooperation’ are indispensable for improving governance, strengthening institutions and guaranteeing access to funding.
