VdA is strengthening its health practice area by recruiting a Biomedical Law specialist. Vera Lúcia Raposo specialized in Biomedical Law at the Coimbra University Law School, where she is an assistant teacher since 2000 and has now joined VdA and its Health Law department.

VdA enjoys a strong reputation in the Health market area in Portugal, advising most of the major multinational pharmaceutical companies with a presence in the national market.
Biomedical Law is an ever increasing practice area covering issues such as State responsibility as regards the medical act, medical civil and criminal responsibility, access to clinical data, living will, embryo rights, surrogate mothers, patient consentment, cloning and organ donation.

At VdA we aim to be at the forefront of knowledge and solution creation in order to respond to our clients needs. It was therefore imperative to strengthen our knowledge in an ever changing and challenging reality whether at a pharmaceutical, medical, scientific or legal level.
