VdA focused on the Green Economy

Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA) has set up a team focused on the Green Economy. This initiative arises from the increasing relevance of the Green Economy both at national and international levels, and from the Portuguese government task force "Coalition for the Green Growth", which held its first meeting at the Lisbon Oceanarium in February 2014.

VdA's team focus is on the priority areas identified by the Portuguese Government - climate and energy, water and waste, biodiversity and sustainable cities, and includes lawyers specialised in different areas of law.

Led by partner Vanda Cascão (Projects - Infrastructure, Energy & Natural Resources), the team includes managing associates Ana Luís de Sousa (Energy & Natural Resources), Matilde Horta e Costa (Water & Waste) and Manuel Gouveia Pereira (Environment & Biodiversity) and associate Francisco Cabral Matos (Tax).

VdA endeavours to be an active part of the Green Growth project, supporting its clients in the challenges and opportunities arising from the growth and internationalisation of the Green Economy cluster.
