IFR and IFLR shortlist transactions assisted by VdA as "deals of the year"
VdA saw one of its transactions being elected by International Financial Review for the European deal of the year 2013, under the category of Structured Equity, with the exchangeable bond issuance by Amorim Energia B.V. into Galp Energia shares, a transaction where the firm assisted the joint global coordinators.
Another transaction with VdA's seal was also recently shorlisted by IFLR European Awards 2014, under the category of Structured Finance and Securitisation. The transaction consists on a securitisation of energy production tariff deficits placed on the market, where VdA was the sole arranger's lawyer and also the firm responsible for drafting most of the transaction documentation. Lawyers from Banking & Finance, Projects - Infrastructures, Energy & Natural Resources and Tax practices were involved in this transaction, in a multi-practice approach so typical of VdA.
