A cyber-attack is a crime that can reach a punishment of five years of imprisonment or fines of 30,000 euros. "When there is an improper access to corporate confidential information, a crime of illegal access, punishment with imprisonment of one to five years, if it were considered that the agent acknowledged commercial or industrial secrets or confidential information protected by law, takes place", states the Privacy, Data Protections & Cybersecurity practice partner.
