Magda Cocco and Inês Antas de Barros, partners in the Information, Communication & Technology practice, and Iakovina Kindylidi, Senior International Adviser in the same practice area, participated as speakers in the course ‘Digital and the Use of Artificial Intelligence’, promoted by the Portuguese Insurance Association (APS).

The course was organised into two complementary sessions: one dedicated to legal governance in the insurance sector and the other focused on AI data compliance. Throughout the sessions, the VdA lawyers addressed the main legal concepts associated with artificial intelligence, the compliance challenges arising from the AI Act, the new data governance and compliance requirements, as well as practical case studies applied to the specific context of the insurance market.
