Mariana França Gouveia was one of the lecturers at the Voluntary Arbitration Training Programme, organised by the Portuguese Arbitration Association (APA) in collaboration with the Portuguese Bar Association.
The VdA lawyer was responsible for the module on ‘Precautionary measures’, in which she addressed topics such as preliminary orders and the role of the emergency arbitrator.
This programme, which runs until 11 March, includes two weekly sessions and covers the following topics: Introduction to voluntary arbitration, Domestic arbitration and international arbitration, Ad hoc arbitration and institutional arbitration, Consent and its effects, Arbitration agreement, The court, Arbitration procedure, Appeal, annulment, recognition and enforcement of the arbitral award.
