VdA, in collaboration with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is hosting a landmark session on international climate change negotiations in Portugal. The event, “International Climate Change Negotiations – Introduction to the UNFCCC Process”, will take place on 2 April at the António de Magalhães Cardoso Auditorium, VdA, in Lisbon.
This marks the first time that the UNFCCC is organizing such a session in Portugal, highlighting VdA’s role in fostering knowledge-sharing and enhancing understanding of the negotiation process within the UNFCCC framework.
The session will provide insights into the UNFCCC’s legal structure, institutional framework, key procedural rules, and an outlook on COP 30. It is aimed at negotiators, future COP negotiators, and other stakeholders interested in deepening their expertise in climate change negotiations.
VdA reaffirms its commitment to promoting knowledge dissemination strengthening Portugal’s engagement in global climate policies.
