The Course on 'New EU Rules for Product Entry, Circularity, and ESG', organised by VdA Academia with the support of the Portuguese Agro-Food Industry Federation (FIPA), will begin on September 18.

The first training session, titled 'Deforestation and CBAM', will take place at the VdA office in Lisbon from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and will be led by Catarina Pinto Correia.

In this session, VdA partner and co-head of the Environment & Climate practice area, will address the need for companies to prepare for the implementation of the regulation establishing rules for placing products on the EU market—or for export from the EU—associated with deforestation and forest degradation after December 2020 (EUDR). She will also analyze the regulation establishing a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), created by the EU to ensure an equivalent carbon price between imported products and the same products produced within the EU.
