Law is moving beyond its traditional frontiers — beyond borders, beyond Earth, beyond what we know today.

In its 18th edition, the Spring School invites 100 law students to step outside their usual orbit and explore the evolving frontiers of the legal profession. From 30 March to 1 April, at the MH Atlântico Hotel in Peniche, participants will take part in three days of intensive learning, strategic reflection and personal growth.

Satellites, space data, artificial intelligence, digital sovereignty, human rights — space is no longer the realm of science fiction; it is an emerging legal reality. Understanding this shift means preparing for the next chapter of legal practice.

Across these three days, participants will strengthen essential behavioural skills — critical thinking, resilience and professional ethics — while engaging with some of the most complex and innovative challenges shaping contemporary law.

As VdA celebrates its 50th anniversary, the Firm reaffirms its commitment to developing the next generation of lawyers and invites students to think further — with ambition, awareness and vision.

Applications are open until 22 March.

The future is not watched from afar — it is built.
