Marta Alves Vieira

Marta Alves Vieira joined VdA in 2012. She is head partner of the IP Litigation practice where she has been actively involved in intellectual property litigation and arbitration, notably in disputes involving pharmaceutical patents, regularly providing legal and strategic advice to companies in all intellectual property matters.

Marta concluded her traineeship at ANBM - Azevedo Neves, Benjamim Mendes & Associados - Sociedade de Advogados, RL (currently, DLA Piper ABBC).

She was associate lawyer in the Litigation team of Ana Oliveira Bruno & Associados - Sociedade de Advogados, RL and in the Litigation practice area at Abreu & Marques, Vinhas e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados (currently, Abreu & Marques e Associados - Sociedade de Advogados, RL). She also joined the Litigation, Arbitration and Employment group of Linklaters, LLP, where she was dedicated in particular to Intellectual Property Litigation.

Before joining the firm she worked at JSMS – Jardim, Sampaio, Magalhães e Silva e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados as associate lawyer in Litigation matters.

Regular collaboration with the journal OJE (opinion articles on law matters), 2011 and 2012.
