Conceição Gamito, Teresa Teixeira Mota, Nídia Rebelo and Nadine Gomes wrote an article entitled "Plastic Taxation in Portugal", published on the WTS Global website, on the contribution on single use plastic or aluminium packaging purchased in ready to eat meals.
The lawyers write about the legislative changes introduced in this matter, which exclude from the scope of application of the contribution the single-use packages for drinks and determine the application of the contribution to aluminium ones, as from 1 September 2023.
