Isabel Ornelas and David Paula signed the article "Timor-Leste's new regime for e-commerce and electronic signatures", published in Lexology, following the approval of the new legal regime for e-commerce and e-contracting in Timor-Leste.
The article explains that Decree-Law no. 12/2024 of February 13th, which will enter into force on 18 August 2024, is approved as part of Timor-Leste's Digital Strategy 2032.
This approval is intended to promote economic growth and innovation, in line with international practices in the e-commerce and e-procurement sector.
