Advocatus, in its December/January edition, explains what has changed for the big law firms in the last decade, after consulting nine of the principle business law firms, such as VdA. The business law firms nowadays are management models with corporate culture, being the managing partners the new market CEO’s.

According to João Vieira de Almeida, there’s a necessity in the bet of new departments such as promoting the professionalization of management. For VdA’s managing partner, “the development, that required the professionalization of management areas, resulted of the increase of demand”, having a clear perception that the professionalization of the management departments are essential to enhance earnings for the firm and clients.
