João Tornada (Associate) writes an article for Observatório Almedina entitled "Some notes on the restrictions of religious freedom during the State of Emergency" in which he points out the most restrictive and controversial measures that have been adopted under the State of Emergency and assesses their compliance with the Constitution.

"Since it is arguable that religious freedom is only protected in the aspect of individual conscience and worship, the question remains as to whether the freedoms of religion and worship have not been violated by the mentioned declarations of State of Emergency."
