Rui Costa Pereira (Senior Associate) gives an interview to Advocatus in which he answers questions about the state of justice in Portugal, argues that the training of the CEJ should be reviewed, states that impunity is a problem across the judiciary and the legal profession and that there is "leniency" in the exercise of disciplinary action by all the legal professions.

"I think in 2022 the mediatisation of justice is a lapalissade. The Public Prosecutor's Office, of course, is not immune to that circumstance. If that mediatisation were to be used as a mechanism for transparency in its actions, ensuring full knowledge of how criminal prosecution is carried out, no harm would come to the world. The problem, it seems to me, arises when transparency is rather used as a pretext for mediatisation."
