This was the question at the heart of the session we organised on Tuesday 30 June, together with the UNFCCC, to present the Portuguese version of the Presiding Officers’ Guide to the UNFCCC Process, which was opened by the Executive Secretary of the CPLP, Ambassador Maria de Fátima Jardim.

The availability of this Guide in Portuguese represents an important step towards improving access to knowledge on the negotiation processes that shape global climate action decisions.

Throughout the session, we brought together current and future negotiators from CPLP countries to discuss challenges, share perspectives and gather input that will help guide future capacity-building initiatives in this area.

This dialogue will continue at a workshop on the UNFCCC process, which VdA will organise in Maputo in September, further promoting the sharing of knowledge and experience among participants from the Portuguese-speaking community.

This initiative involves Assunção Cristas, Catarina Pinto Correia and Marta Graça, and reflects VdA’s commitment to promoting knowledge, climate action and international cooperation.
