Magda Cocco (Partner) is quoted in an article by Jornal Económico on the subject of European Data Economy, published following the 4th session of the 'Digital Union' cycle, a debate hosted by VdA and APDC (Associação Portuguesa para o Desenvolvimento das Comunicações) as part of the Digital Union partnership, which took place on January 12.
"We are very focused on personal data, on the RGPD, but there is more beyond that. Data represents new growth opportunities, threats and challenges. The data economy measures the potential of data and its impact on society, while the digital economy is more complex, involving physical and digital infrastructures, applications and other aspects of digitalisation. Businesses must first recognise the value of data and see it as an asset. Sometimes SMEs are still not aware of this".
