Américo Oliveira Fragoso (Managing Associate) is quoted in an article by Expresso newspaper, on the adoption by companies of rules to block the departure of workers following the recent hiring difficulties they face.
"The Portuguese Labour Code is based on the assumption of freedom of work, which means that the rule is that at any time the worker can leave the company, otherwise it would not be work, but slavery", states the Lawyer.
