WhatNext.Law is organising the event ‘Fake News: Challenges for Democracy and Society’, which will take place on 2 October, between 9.15am and 11.15am, at the António de Magalhães Cardoso Auditorium in VdA's Lisbon office.
The creation and dissemination of fake news is one of the biggest challenges of recent years, impacting society, democracy and the right to freedom of information and expression. It is important to make an informed choice and to analyse the role of technology in this context.
This event will feature experts who will address the intersection between the spread of fake news, freedom of information and expression, the importance of literacy and the role of technology in this equation.
