Joana Bernardo is participating as a lecturer in the Training Cycle on Compliance in the Insurance Sector, organised by the Portuguese Insurers' Association (APS) in partnership with VdA Academia.

The insurance sector, one of the most regulated and dynamic in our economy, requires companies to be constantly updated in terms of compliance and risk management. In this context, this course offers a comprehensive overview of the national regulatory environment, addressing the multiple challenges and demands of the insurance sector.

In February, Joana Bernardo led the sessions on ‘Compliance function in a highly regulated sector' and 'Prevention of corruption and related offences in insurance’, together with Hugo Isidro, from the Portuguese Insurers Association and António Maia, from the Observatory of Economics and Fraud Management (OBEGEF).

The training cycle will run until December, with the next session scheduled for 27 March, dedicated to combating insurance fraud.
