A day dedicated to blockchain technology in the context of legal services, VdA hosts the first Lisbon Briefing of the GLBC, the largest consortium of the blockchain legal industry, with more than 235 partner entities – including large companies, law firms, tech companies, and the legal departments of companies and universities – working together to establish standards in the use of blockchain technology for legal services.

An innovation bootcamp will also be held, led by Celina Abecassis-Moedas, Dean for Executive Education and Associate Professor at the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, and with the participation of Miguel Pupo Correia, Associate Professor at the Technical University of Lisbon. This session, promoted by VdA’s ICT (Information, Communication & Technology) practice and the firm’s Innovation Forum, focuses on the development of new legal solutions using blockchain technology.

This technology is expected to have an impact similar to the appearance of the Internet and has already proven to be a powerful tool in several sectors, particularly in the context of legal services. As such, it is a key topic at VdA.
