Rui Gordete Almeida participated as a speaker at the 3rd Spanish-Portuguese Meeting ‘Digital Europe: Digital Rights, Artificial Intelligence’. The event was co-organised by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Justice (CIJ), the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto and the Complutense University of Madrid.
The meeting, held on 11 and 12 November, brought together researchers and specialists in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to reflect on the regulation and implementation of this technology in the European Union. The potential risks and challenges associated with the use of AI were discussed, as well as the importance of information and transparency in its application.
Rui Gordete Almeida was a speaker on the panel entitled ‘Assumptions and challenges of using Artificial Intelligence (AI)’, in which he presented the topic ‘Availability and quality of data as foundations of Artificial Intelligence’.
