Ricardo Bordalo Junqueiro attended the 34th Annual Conference of the International Bar Association (IBA) on Media and Competition Law.

The VdA lawyer was a speaker at the session ‘Merger trends in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors’, held on 28 April, where he was joined by speakers David Dubois (French Competition Authority), Federica Grilli (AlixPartners), Janet Hui (JunHe LLP) and Annemiek Wilpshaar (European Commission - Directorate-General for Competition).

This session aimed to analyse the latest developments in M&A in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. The discussion addressed the impact of increasing market concentration and the challenges regulators face in assessing the competitive effects of mergers in these rapidly-evolving industries.
