Today begins the 14th edition of Spring School, returning to a face-to-face format.
For 3 days, 102 law students will have the opportunity to learn about topics related to sustainability, which are increasingly a strategic focus for organisations and people, and a core competence for a responsible Law Practice that creates value between business and society.
With the purpose of contributing to increase students' knowledge on topics such as the future of work, diversity and inclusion, sustainable finances or climate change, the 14th edition of Spring School will take place under the motto Empowering Sustainability Generation - Act Now! and will have a special focus on Sustainability and the importance of empowering new generations on sustainable development issues and on their active role in exercising an informed citizenship on the environmental, social and economic problems we are facing and how to mitigate their negative impacts.
Besides the traditional workshops, inspiring talks and team building activities, this year there are several novelties, namely:
- Launch of the Spring School APP, where students can interact with each other, in a digital environment, through a chat and consult the event's agenda, trainers' bios, module descriptions, among other features;
- Collaborative initiative of Social Responsibility and creation of positive impacts focused on the SDGs and the three ESG pillars, through donations from students and VdA Academia;
- Stand-up comedy moment during the Dinner Party, to always keep the good humour that already characterises us.
From VdA, João Vieira de Almeida, Paula Gomes Freire, Benedita Aires, Fernando Resina da Silva, Jorge Bleck, Manuel Protásio, Margarida Couto, Rodrigo Esteves de Oliveira, Assunção Cristas, José Sintra, Sandra Pedro Serrano, Amanda Alves Reis and José Menano will participate as speakers.
