The Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation and the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa - FLUL) are organising an information session on the Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida Award, to be held at FLUL (D. Pedro V Room) on 10 April, from 17h30 to 18h30.

This session, which is open to all interested parties, will be attended by Vasco Vieira de Almeida, VdA’s Founding Partner, Margarida Couto, CEO of the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, Professor Miguel Tamen, Dean of FLUL, Professor António Feijó, Associate Vice-President of the University of Lisbon, and Professor José Pedro Serra, Director of the FLUL Library.

The Award was launched by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, in partnership with FLUL, to pay tribute to the memory and work of Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida, through the fostering of emerging talents and scientific works in the various humanities research areas.

Applications are open to holders of undergraduate, Master’s or PhD degrees from FLUL and postdoctoral researchers at FLUL, up to a maximum of five years after the conclusion of their degree or the end of their postdoctoral researcher status. Applications must be submitted online by 31 May 2020. The winning paper will be awarded the prize, in the amount of €20,000, plus a grant for its publication.
