On February 21, at 6:00 p.m., the project “"InclusivaMente: Human Rights in the context of Ageing and Mental Health” will be launched at Vieira de Almeida’s auditorium, in Lisbon.
This project, promoted by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation in partnership with EAPN Portugal - European Anti-Poverty Network, consists of a training programme on the legal framework governing the activity of social economy entities that provide care to the elderly, dependent persons and/or persons with impairments, with the aim of shaping a more responsible and inclusive understanding of citizenship in these domains.
The launch event will be opened by Margarida Couto, CEO of the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, and Joaquina Madeira, Board Member of EAPN Portugal.
The journalist Fernanda Freitas will moderate the debate on “The challenge of guaranteeing Human Rights and the new status of ‘Maior Acompanhado’ (adult persons unable, due to health reasons, disability or behavioural issues, to fully, personally and consciously exercise their rights or fulfil their duties) in Institutions” with the following speakers: Maria do Rosário Zincke dos Reis, Lawyer, Rogério Cação, Vice-President of FENACERCI, and Paula Campos Pinto, Associate Professor at ISCSP-ULisboa and Coordinator of Observatório da Deficiência e Direitos Humanos.
