On the 28 March, the team of the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa (FDUL), coached by Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA), won the 3rd Lisbon Vis Pre-Moot 2019, organized by the Conselho Sub-40 of the Portuguese Arbitration Authority (APA). The FDUL team, coched by VdA, conquered the 1st place ahead of the teams of the faculties of law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Universidade Nova de Lisboa and of the Leiptzig University, before referees with vast experience in the commercial arbitration area.

This pre-moot prepares the 26th edition of the Wilem C. Vis Moot, that is the biggest international competition of commercial arbitration in the world, that this year takes place in Vienna, between 12 and 18 April of 2019.

Filipe Rocha Vieira and Joana Neves, managing associates of the Litigation & Arbitration practice, are coaches for the FDUL team, within the exclusive protocol between FDUL and VdA, that participates for the 3rd time in a row. In this edition, the FDUL team is composed by the students Beatriz Vitorino, Catarina Coelho, Filipe Gomes and Rita Rocha and, as in previous editions, is also assisted by Professor Doctor José Ferreira Gomes.

The protocol between VdA and FDUL assured also the presence of the team, accompanied by their coaches, in other two pre-moots: the IV AIA-CAM Pre-Moot, that took place on 7 and 9 March in Milan, Italy, and the LSE-LCIA London Vis Pre-Moot, that took place on the 23 and 24 March in London.
