The Fourth Industrial Revolution is transforming the labour market. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digitalisation are gaining more space in areas such as recruitment, performance evaluation and employee management.
Sofia Barros Cortez, in co-authorship with Isabel Paredes, from SHL Portugal, have written the article ‘Digitalisation, AI and Privacy’, published in Human Magazine. In this article, the authors analyse the main challenges brought by digitalisation and the use of AI, highlighting the role of the AI Act and the Portuguese Labour Code in defining rules to protect workers' privacy, ensure transparency in the use of AI systems and prevent practices such as emotion inference in the workplace.
