VdA is pleased to share the ‘Metaverse Guide’, a publication by the International Bar Association (IBA) that analyses the main legal and regulatory challenges of the digital metaverse universe.
The publication had the active participation of Magda Cocco, as author and Project Global Coordinator, and Iakovina Kindylidi.
The guide analyses the digital regulatory frameworks that can significantly impact the metaverse, covering topics such as data protection, cybersecurity, digital identity, artificial intelligence, human rights, digital ethics, intellectual property, digital marketing, digital transactions, and jurisdictional and governance issues. In total, it covers 22 jurisdictions and includes 133 chapters, reflecting the contributions of more than 80 lawyers from around the world.
Organised in a Q&A format, the Metaverse Guide offers practical and strategic analysis, anticipating trends and challenges. In order to keep this guide constantly evolving and up-to-date, the IBA invites all members to join this collaborative effort to shape the future of the metaverse by sharing information, updates or best practices.
