Pedro Vera
Pedro Vera joined VdA in 2024. He is a trainee in the Banking & Finance practice.
He advises financial institutions and entities in the real estate, maritime and energy sectors on financing transactions, including asset finance and acquisition finance, as well as on structured financing transactions based on real estate assets. He actively collaborates in the structuring and implementation of these transactions, particularly in the negotiation of financing agreements and in the definition and establishment of the respective security package.
He also has experience in monitoring regulatory matters in the financial sector, particularly regarding the legal and regulatory framework for financial institutions and in liaising with supervisory authorities. He also provides cross-cutting support on day-to-day banking and finance matters, particularly with regard to the interpretation and application of applicable legislation and regulations.
Previously, he worked in the Corporate and M&A practice as a Trainee Lawyer.
Currently studying for a Master’s degree in Law and Legal Science, specialising in International Commercial Law, at the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon.
Postgraduate qualification in Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance from the Centre for Research in Private Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon (CIDP).
Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon.
Before joining the Firm, he undertook an extracurricular internship at Garrigues in 2024, in the Commercial and M&A practice.
In 2023, he also undertook summer placements at Miranda & Associados, in the Litigation & Arbitration practice, at CCR Legal, in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice, and at Garrigues, in the Commercial and M&A practice.
Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association as a Trainee Lawyer.
